Room not cleaned - lots of dust on the floor
An excellent location at a affordable price.
Location, price. Large kitchens. Good sized single room for the price.
Kitchens not well equipped. Other guests were young and noisy, as you'd expect
Having a well-equipped kitchen was very convenient and meant that we could save a lot by eating there. It was wonderfully close to the Castle and Royal Mile. The towels and bedding were clean and the beds were comfortable.
It's situated in a rather dim and dodgy area full of sleazy-looking clubs and bars. Some of the other residents were extremely rowdy in the early hours of the morning, and generally inconsiderate - leaving the kitchen in a mess, for example.
Very little. The location was handy.
Very expensive for a very budget style accommodation. You have to pay for the Internet and to leave your bags there after you check out. Absolute rip off and I would not recommend to anyone.
The accommodation had a great location, excellent rate for an apartment. Good, clean functional rooms. Easy booking and great for the budget traveller.
It was wonderfully close to everything. It was a private sleeping room which was nice.It was okay to not have the beds made because I used my own sheets and blanket. It was nice to have a towel and washcloth provided, without paying extra
The beds were extremely uncomfortable.Sharing a bathroom with a bunch of other people made for scheduling bathroom use necessary. It was also noisy over the weekend because there was a club or pub across the way which had live bands.
Cheap and close to city centre. That there were people in the reception 24/7.
It wasn't possible to adjust the height of the showerhead so that wasn't very good. Also, I found the bathroom floors very ugly. A mirror in the room would have been awesome.
Location is really good, just 7-10 min from the station and in the centre of the city
The value for money, especially after staying at the Euro Hostel in Glasgow (that we'd highly recommend) , it's not fair.. I would say, just spend 10 pounds more per person and you can find a definetely better place. It's too noisy, you don't have facilities for internet access (only wireless if you pay, but no computers), showers were quite clean but the water was boiling hot or frozen. We are not fussy and we can easily adapt.. The problem is not about the hostel itself, the problem is that the price is totally unfair.Last thing, we were meant to check in at 3 pm.. We were waiting 15min, after they proposed us to leave our luggages there for free and to come back later cause the room was not ready yet. Some people in the staff were uncareless..
best welcome the rooms were spotless and plenty of room
nothing that i didnt like
Don't even have a working Lift for heavy luggage, neither Wi-Fi.
Amazing value for the location, the staff were wonderful
The internet reception is very poor, they also say they have WIFI, when what they mean is 4 rooms in the block have wifi.
it has a good cooking facilities even though i did not use it the location was great
the room was dark and not very clean they charge for keeping the bags the time of check in is so late at 3
Splendid location, easy to reach by car and other means of transport. Safe parking spot in the middle of the old town.
The rooms weren't very clean but the bathrooms were even worse. A hostel should be basic but at the least clean. However the splendid location and the fair price almost make it up.
It was a couple of minutes walking to anyplace, Edinburgh is not that big city but this place is just nearby to everything.
